Announcing the 10-minute Play Festival

ACANSA Announces new partnership and community arts event.
In the fall of 2017 through the spring of 2018, ACANSA will partner with Potluck and Poison Ivy to promote and produce its first annual Ten-Minute Play Festival. The festival will be co-produced, managed and directed by Hilary Trudell, the Director of Local Programming at the Clinton School of Public Service, and will involve collaboration and participation from local Arkansas artists.
The primary goals of the festival are to engage high school students and community members in the art of playwriting, to provide artistic opportunities to both populations, to expose Little Rock community members to important social issues facing our youth and society, and to promote the ACANSA Arts Festival. The Festival will consist of classes being offered in the fall to high school students and community members – with the premier workshop being offered during the ACANSA Arts Festival in September.
All Arkansans high school age and older are welcome to submit a play for consideration. A panel will select five plays to be produced (minimally) in a space selected by the producers. All winning playwrights will be invited to attend a lunchtime panel discussion at the Clinton School of Public Service prior to the production. Deadline for play submissions is December 15th. Winning plays will be produced on March 1st. Submission instructions will be announced at a later date.
The Bootcamp dates are:
October 28th (9am-12pm)
October 29th (1pm-4pm)
at the Clinton School of Public Service, River Market Campus.
