2018 ACANSA Festival Opening ft. A Rowdy Faith

DATE: September 18TIME: 5:30 pmLOCATION: The Butler Center (map)

What better way to open Arkansas’ annual arts festival, ACANSA, than by listening to a local band!  “A Rowdy Faith” will transport its listeners to a world of wonderful folk music, as they connect the youth of Arkansas with the historical lineage of the state’s music.  Semi Finalist in the 2016 Arkansas Times Musicians’ showcase, the dynamic duo, Allison Reid and Cate Davison, create a unique mix of Americana, southern gothic and folk music to captivate their listeners through the tradition of storytelling. The talented Reid and Davison compose and perform original music that captures the longstanding culture and sound of Arkansas.  The high school friends have been performing as soloists for years and recently reunited after college to make a new sound. As “A Rowdy Faith” began performing around the state, they developed a fan base which is continually growing.  Though their first album was officially released in 2017, the band has performed for several years, gaining public recognition along the way. “A Rowdy Faith” was a semifinalist in the Arkansas Times Musician Showcase in 2016. There is no telling how much the young and talented band can do. We can’t wait to see where they can go from here! Join us as we celebrate this local band’s success at this years' ACANSA Arts Festival. Light Hors Devours and beverages will be served. Free Admission
